Reproduction of the midwar M1 rifle sling, introduced to replace the earlier M1907 leather sling. Features full steel hardware and the correct flat buckle found on wartime slings. These were introduced both as a cost saving measure and because the leather slings had a tendency to break when exposed to moisture for long periods of time. Easier and quicker to adjust than their predecessor, these would eventually entirely replace the leather M1907 slings in general service. Perfect for D-Day onwards.
